Bow Chat launches Personal Automations with Poll Helper for WhatsApp groups

A smaller kind of automation

Not every useful WhatsApp workflow needs a broad team bot, a campaign, or a new operating system. Some people have one repeatable moment: a group poll appears, they know the answer they want to give, and they do not want to miss it.

Today we are launching Personal Automations in Bow Chat. The first capability is Poll Helper: a focused rule for a chosen WhatsApp group poll.

Poll Helper: one group, one configured response

After you link your number through the normal Bow Chat onboarding flow, Poll Helper lets you choose a group and one of two deterministic rules:

• Exact poll rule: match the exact poll title and exact option, then cast that one vote.
• Numbered option rule: for polls whose wording changes, choose a fixed option position such as the first or second option.

The second mode is useful for recurring RSVPs where the organiser changes the date or title but your intended response stays in the same position.

What stays deliberately out of scope

This launch is intentionally narrow. Poll Helper does not send a text reply, post a message to the group, scan old group history, or turn a near match into an action. It only considers a new inbound poll in the selected group after the rule has been enabled, and it does not act on a poll sent by the linked number itself.

You can keep the scope reviewable: one linked WhatsApp number, one selected group, and a single vote rule.

Start with the rule, not the automation label

Before enabling Poll Helper, decide whether you need an exact match or a fixed option position. Exact matching is the safer choice when the title and answer are known. Numbered selection is the better fit when the question changes but the option order is dependable.

The linked number must be authorized to participate in the selected group. You can disable the rule whenever the recurring need ends.

The first of more personal, controlled workflows

Personal Automations is a new Bow Chat category for small, explicit rules around a person's own linked number. We are starting with deterministic behavior so the action is predictable and easy to review. Any future premium AI selection mode will be announced separately; it is not part of this launch.
